This means I can buy another one right?

This may be the most beautiful unusable chair I will ever own!

The stool started it's life as this yukky velvety 'thing'.

I have recovered it with a Liberty Dresden plate and white hanky linen.

The only thing is what I am going to do with a stool that is way too pretty to be sat on?!

Our Synchronised Travel Journeys…

1. First stage is your starting point.

2.Walk in any direction for 50 or 100 paces, then turn 180 degrees.

3. Continue walking in that direction until you see something blue.

4. Make a left turn & walk 50 to 70 paces.

5. Walk in any direction until you see something that either is or looks like the number 7 or 11

Photoshopped a 7 in so you could see where the branches were making it

6. Take the first left & continue walking until you find somewhere to sit.

7. Choose any direction & walk for 25 or 50 paces.

8. Continue walking until you see an unusual colour, shape or texture. Turn 180 degrees.

9. Keep walking in any direction until you see an archway or an unusual architectural feature.

10. Head for home but continue looking for something that catches your eye. When you find something, take your photo with it.

A great "I've just walked 5kms and I'm looking glamorous" shot!

My Creative Space...

I finally did it!
I somewhat mastered the crochet hook.
I may hold it like I'm trying to knit, but each to their own I think.
(Plus it hurts my fingers less that way)
I have started on a baby blanket, yes no small projects for me!

I it will now be added to the never ending and always growing list of on the go projects:

Wool blanket embroidery
Stitching project
Free motion quilting picture
A secret project
Binding left to finish on Dick and Jane quilt
Quilt blocks on the design wall ready to be sewn together
Half cut out quilt
Resewing in the lining of a bag due to bad pattern writing (instructions were missing steps!)

And the list goes on
and on
and on
and on
and on
and on....

My Creative Space; Kaffelicious

Spending my day reading the new Kaffe Fassett book (before the September 1st release date) thanks to the wonderful Michelle who found and posted it down to me!

I think Kaffelicious is the only word (made up or real) to describe the new Kaffe Fassett book, Quilts in Sweden.

The book is full of beautiful quilts and beautiful photographs of the Skansen Museum in Stockholm.

Rattan Square, such a beautiful quilt and only three patch shapes making it a easy quilt for beginners.

Parquet, the use of floral, stripes, seashells, dots in this quilt is amazing.

Crosses

Barcode, I can't wait to get the fabric to make this one!

Striped City!
Can't wait to make this one for The Boy, just have to work out where to get one of those Dalecarlian horse.

Vintage by Pauline Smith, love all the blue.

Illuminated Lattice, also being added to the make list!

Reflected Pool by Sally Davis.
The greens, blues and purples just pop in this quilt.

Gorgeous pictures of the building at Skansen.
Love the painted tiles on the pillar and that gorgeous emerald colour!

The article about how Pauline Smith and Kaffe Fassett work together to create the quilts is fantastic.
You get to see and read how the quilts change from beginning of the first blocks on the design wall, Kaffe making changes and then the finished quilt.

The only problem is, even though I have meters,

and meters,

and meters of fabric,

I still don't have enough or any of the fabric I need!!!!

Shhhh, don't tell The Boy!

A little bit of fabric has sneaked into the stash,

Little Menagerie by Melly and Me

Don't you just love these cute prints!
Elephants, owls, little bees,

and cute little monkeys!

Some cute prints from the range as well.
I'm going to save these for a special quilt (open to suggestions) and then pack it away in the blanket box for a later date.

I also snuck away from helping Nikki at Craft Fair and grabbed myself a like bit more Liberty to add to the stash.

Four Oops, Five 30cm pieces and Five fat 16ths mostly from the new collection

After a long and busy day at the show I would wander down to the Amitie stall and chat to the girls and just stroke the Liberty.
(yes I'm weird, but it did make me feel better!)

I have a little something in mind for these....

And, don't worry The Boy sees all the fabric and even rates it all for me!

Cute things for your Friday night

My cute lil B-Fab arrived today and made herself at home.

I love her soooooo much!
She is now sitting on the laptop watching me type.
Thank you so much Jess!

Nicole and I went to Meet me at Mikes on Wednesday and I just had to bring this cutey home with me.

To meet it's bigger version!

The Boy bought and surprised me with this week!
Even better, she is a lamp and quite big!
At the moment I keep carrying her around to every room just so I can see her all the time!

Third cute thing for your Friday viewing is the cute little macaroon that Mel helped me needle felt on Wednesday at NCB.

It is as hard as nails as I got a little too stabby.
Next NCB we are going to all have a go at needle felting, I can't wait!

And lastly but maybe the most cute of all...

My Hottie's much loved new home!

Have a lovely weekend everyone!
